The English Muffin
Once upon a toasty morning in the 1800s, a clever British baker named Samuel B. Thomas decided regular bread just wasn’t cheeky enough. So, he created a golden, bubbly little round — part crumpet, part miracle — and called it the English muffin. It soon crossed the pond, landing right on American breakfast tables and stealing hearts (and butter).
Known around the world by other names — toaster crumpet, breakfast halo, or as we like to call it here at Strawberry Fields Bakery, the edible sunshine disc — this little legend has been fueling Monday motivation ever since.
So this week, rise, shine, and split your muffin with a smile — because even Mondays can feel like jam day when there’s a little buttered bliss in your hand.
